Wound Care
Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine
Every year, chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions keep three to five million Americans from doing the activities they enjoy. The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital and Health Centers applies proven wound care practices and advanced clinical approaches, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, to help heal patients who suffer from chronic wounds. In addition, the Center participates in a number of clinical trials utilizing the latest wound care products, dressings and antibiotics not yet available to the general public.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HbOT)
Is a medical treatment that enhances the body’s natural healing and strengthens the immune system. Delivered by trained Center for Wound Healing specialists, HbOT is an effective treatment option for most chronic wounds.
