Visiting Policy
Though visits from family and friends can be good medicine, rest is important too. The hospital maintains regular visiting hours and guidelines to ensure patients receive appropriate care. Visitors should be at least 14 years old, and there should be no more than two visitors per patient at a time. Please try to keep visits brief. For any special exceptions or requests, please consult the nurse. Children must not be left unattended in the lobby, waiting rooms, or any other areas of the hospital.

Medical/Surgical Units
Visiting hours: 12pm-8pm
Phone hours: 8am-9pm

Critical Care Units (Immediate family only, 16 years and older)

Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Visiting hours: 12pm-2pm, 5pm-8pm
Phone hours: 6:30am-7am, 12pm-2pm, 5pm-8pm

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Visiting hours: 11am-12pm, 2pm-3pm, 5pm-6pm, 8:30pm-9:30pm
Phone hours: 6:30am-7am, 2pm-3pm, 9pm-10pm

Mental Health Unit
4th and 5th floor Thorne visiting hours:
Adult Unit
Monday-Friday: 12pm-1pm, 6pm-8pm
Weekends and Holidays: 2pm-5pm, 6pm-8pm
Adolescent Unit
Daily: 12pm-1pm

Directions to Saint Francis Hospital Poughkeepsie, New York

From North or South:
Take NYS Thruway to Exit 18 (New Paltz Exit) to Route 229 East. Make right onto Route 299 from exit. Follow to Route 9W South (T-intersection, right turn at light). Look for signs for Mid-Hudson Bridge and cross bridge. Take first exit off bridge (Hyde Park, Wappingers Falls). Stay to left and look for signs to Route 9 North, Hyde Park. Take Route 9 to Marist Drive (extreme right from right turn lane just before first light, opposite Marist College). Pass first left turn; entrance to Hospital is several hundred feet on left.

From Taconic State Parkway North:
Take Taconic State Parkway North to Route 55 West, Poughkeepsie. Continue approximately 8 miles into Poughkeepsie. At Market Street light (corner with Sheraton Hotel/Civic Center on left and City Hall on right), take right to T-intersection (facing Poughkeepsie Post Office). Go left, then right at Mobile Station (Washington Street). Continue to Hospital entrance on right.

From West:
Take Route I-84 East to Route 9W North to Mid-Hudson Bridge. Cross bridge and follow same directions as above (from North or South).
